***SAFE 10/11/16*** ALADDIN RETURNED – LIKE THE GENIE IN THE BOTTLE…HE WAS LET OUT. BUT HIS NEW OWNERS DIDN’T GIVE HIM ENOUGH TIME TO ADJUST AND…POOF!!! JUST LIKE THAT! THIS POOR GUY NEEDS YOU TO RUB HIS LAMP OUT TAKE HIM OUT FOR GOOD! He’s just a year and a half, already NEUTERED and BEGINNER rated! But his previous owner had a dog and cat that ALADDIN was said to be “playing rough.” That can be made up, or parts of it true. But not matter what, the truth is that ALADDIN wasn’t given enough time to adjust. Of course some pets will fight or play rough at first….BUT THAT’S WHAT HUMANS ARE FOR!! They need to guide and watch over the pets. New Pets should also be separated and SLOW INTRODUCTION’S are the key! PLEASE, offer you home to ALADDIN…and let him have A WHOLE NEW WORLD WITH YOU!!

10/01/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/01/16 12:35 BASIC INFO Aladdin, also nicknamed Cash (short for Cashew), is a 1.5 year old neutered DSH cat. His original family got him as a gift and relinquished him due to pet conflict-he played rough with a shy cat. He was adopted and returned 2.5 weeks later due to pet conflict-the dog in the home was trying to attack him. SOCIALIZATION Aladdin may be shy with new people for a few minutes but quickly becomes friendly/outgoing. In his first home, he played rough with a female cat. The cat would cower and scream, but he continued playing rough (e.g. wrestling). Aladdin shared his first home with 2 small dogs and they played rough together, wrestling. He was tolerant of the other pets. In his second home, a small dog would charge, lunge, bark, and growl at him. If the dog was loose, he would jump to a high place. If the dog was restrained, he wouldn’t react. He didn’t vocalize at the dog. The second day in his new home (9/16), he was hiding in a cat condo and his owner reached her hand in to pet him. He bit her hand, drawing a little blood. Besides this incident, he hasn’t bit/scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Aladdin’s first family reported that he is nervous when brushed, bathed, or picked up and held. They told us he sometimes doesn’t mind having his nails trimmed and sometimes struggles to get away. They also report that he growls when other pets approach his food while he’s eating, and that he will eat their food. Aladdin’s second family reported that he was relaxed in the car and didn’t mind being brushed, picked up, held, put in a carrier, or woken up. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Aladdin’s most recent family describe him as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, talkative, and medium energy. He followed his family and sat in their laps. He played with wand toys, cat dancers, and catnip toys. He lived inside and slept on a shelf. In his first home, he ate dry Meow Mix and wet Friskies food twice daily. His second owner fed him dry and wet Wellness foods. Aladdin is littertrained. He used a hooded litterbox with clay litter in his first home and a box with an entry on the top and clumping litter in his second home. He didn’t have accidents. He scratched a vertical rope and carpet post in his first home and a flat cardboard pad and a carpeted cat condo in his second home. He didn’t scratch furniture. INTAKE Aladdin had a soft body while I pet, collared, and scanned (+) him. He didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.
