KNOWN HISTORY: Unknown EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Addison was curled up on his blanket at the back of the kennel facing away from the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Addison lip licks and makes eye contact with the assessor but doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. He starts to slow blink then slowly lowers his head. Reaction to cage door opening: Addison becomes alert. Reaction to touch: Addison keeps his eyes focused on the assessor and lip licks when touched. He tolerates petting along his body with a slow approach then slowly gets up and moves over to the other side of the double kennel with his tail lowered. Reaction to being picked up: Addison was tense when picked up, got antsy then leaped away and retreated to the back of the kennel. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 02/02/17 Addison was lying low in his litter box at rear of cage, quiet, head and eyes down. I approached slowly and he allowed petting all over, but was uncomfortable. Doesn’t seem to be eating, offered a plate of fresh wet food and some tuna. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Shy, allows all handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE:Shy RECOMMENDATIONS: _x_ Experienced cat parent BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Experience Addison may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
