10/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ace was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Ace was curled up at the back of the kennel lying down on his blanket. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ace lifts his head up slowly the slowly leans forward to get a better look at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Ace becomes alert. Reaction to touch: Ace sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows petting along his body. He looks around unsure and wary of his surroundings then tilts his head gently allowing rubs. It takes a moment before he gets up and approaches the front. At the front he gives soft head butts and appreciates attention but he keeps his tail curled and lowered under his body. Reaction to being picked up: Ace was a bit tense when picked up, allows all handling then looks around wary of his surroundings. Behavior Determination: Experience Ace may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
